Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has supported the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency with a 38-seater hybrid Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bus with 30 strap-hangers as part of strategic preparations for the 2026 Hajj airlift operations.

This was contained in a statement signed by the board public relations officer Ibrahim Datti issued to newsmen.

It said the bus, with a total passenger capacity of 68 persons per trip, is expected to significantly enhance the transportation logistics of intending pilgrims, ensuring improved efficiency, safety, and comfort during the Hajj exercise.

According to the statement, the initiative underscores Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to the welfare of Kaduna State pilgrims and reflects his administration’s determination to strengthen operational support systems for a smooth and successful Hajj operation.

It will be recalled that the Governor has similarly revamped the Agency’s Hajj Camp at Mando with the construction of a tarred access road and structural upgrades aimed at providing pilgrims with maximum comfort and a modest simulation of the Holy Land experience while transiting from Kaduna.

Presenting the bus to the Agency, the Director of Operations, Kaduna Line, Malam Muhammad Sagir, who represented the Kaduna State Government, described the initiative as a clear demonstration of the Governor’s people-centered approach to governance.

He noted that Senator Uba Sani remains committed to ensuring that all logistical arrangements for the Hajj exercise meet the highest standards.

Receiving the bus on behalf of the Executive Chairman of the Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, the Director of Operations, Malam Abubakar Usman Yusuf, expressed appreciation to the Kaduna State Government under the purposeful leadership of Senator Uba Sani.

He described the development as timely and impactful, noting that it will strengthen the Agency’s operational capacity in transporting intending pilgrims during the Hajj exercise.

During the handover of the vehicle to the Agency, Malam Abubakar Usman Yusuf represented the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, while Malam Muhammad Sagir represented Kaduna Line.

He further commended the Governor’s foresight in adopting CNG-powered vehicles, noting that environmentally friendly solutions not only improve service delivery but also align with global best practices in sustainable transportation.

The Agency reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient, safe, and high-quality services to all intending pilgrims and assured the public of its full preparedness for a successful 2026 Hajj operation
