Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (CON) represented by his Chief Scribe Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi was in Maiduguri the Borno State Capital for the North East launch of the NATIONAL COMMUNITY FOOD BANK PROGRAM.
The National Community Food Bank Program is the brainchild of Nigeria’s First Lady and Chairperson Renewed Hope Initiative Senator Oluremi Tinubu to provide vulnerable households with access to Nutritious locally sourced food through a nationwide network of community food banks.
A statement signed by the information officer, office of the SSG, Joshua Danmalam said the Gombe State First Lady Dr Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya and her colleagues from the North Eastern States, Ministers, National Assembly Members, Traditional Rulers as well as other dignitaries across the Country attended the historic event held @ the Banquet Hall of the Government House Maiduguri.
The first lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu equally used flag off exercise to distribute economic empowerment items to over 2000 women and presented brand new cars to eight distinguished teachers courtesy of the Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.
