Niger State governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago was among eminent Nigerians and APC Party loyalists that attended the flag off of the re-election campaign of governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Farmer Governor of Niger State Bologi Ibrahim said the campaign flag off took place at the Parapo Pavilion in Ado Ekiti where governor Abiodun officially flagged off his campaign for a second tenure as governor of Ekiti State on the platform of the APC.
Farmer Umaru Bago was on ground to show solidarity to governor Abiodun and reaffirm the commitment of the APC in transforming the lives of the people of Ekiti and Nigerians in general.
APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda in his remarks expressed confidence that the re-election of Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji is certain considering his record of performance and the massive support he enjoys from the people of the State.
He emphasized that the national leadership of the party is proud of what Governor Oyebanji has done and achieved in his first tenure in office and would give him an unflinching support to win another term in office for the benefit of Ekiti people and for continuity of good governance being enjoyed in the State.
Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma and the National Campaign Council led by Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani in their separate speeches acknowledged the tremendous achievements of Governor Abiodun through his massive infrastructural development of Ekiti State and called on the people of Ekiti state to vote him for continuity of good governance.
In his speech, Oyebanji appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for exhibiting special interest for the development of the State and its people and reassured them of continued growth and development.
Other notable dignitaries at the event were, several APC governors, National Vice Chairman of the APC, Southwest, Isaac Kekemeke, former Governors of Ekiti State, members of the National and State Assemblies and other high profile APC members.
