……Commends Youngest Commissioner Dr. Dahir Hashim for Outstanding Performance…..

Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has issued a strong warning to commissioners and Special Advisers in his administration, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them through effective service delivery and commitment to governance.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Friday.

Governor Yusuf gave the warning while speaking during the Hawan Nasarawa Sallah homage held in Kano.

The governor stressed that his administration would not tolerate negligence, poor performance or lack of commitment and disloyalty from any appointee, insisting that accountability and measurable results remain central to his government.

He urged members of the State Executive Council and political aides to rededicate themselves to the service of the people and support the administration’s development agenda.

Governor Yusuf stated that any appointee who fails to perform up to expectation should either improve or be ready to vacate office.

The governor, however, singled out the Commissioner for Environment Dr. Dahir Hashim, for commendation, describing him as an innovative and hardworking leader despite being the youngest commissioner in the cabinet.

He praised Dr. Hashim’s commitment, creativity and outstanding performance in promoting government activities and strengthening communication between the administration and the public.

Governor Yusuf reiterated that his administration remains committed to rewarding dedication, competence and excellence in public service.
