    Former APC Secretary emerged guber – candidate for Y.P.P in Adamawaa.

    A former state secretary and gov’ship candidate of All progressives Congress, APC.Pharm. Wafiarninyi Theman has been elected Gubernatorial candidate for the Young Progressives Party [YPP] 2027 election in Adamawa state.

    Delegates of the party (YPP) from the 21 local government areas supervised by the Independent National Electoral commission,INEC officials and security agencies conducted the party’s primary peacefully yesterday in the state.

    Simultaneously new state executives of the party were also formed through an acceptable and transparent consensus method to the admiration of all party stakeholders and supporters presence at the exercise.

    Declaring the results, the returning Officer Vidiyeno Bamaiyi said the new leadership emerged following wide consultations to reposition the party for electoral success.

    According to him, today marks a new chapter for YPP in Adamawa. they have a united leadership and a credible candidate who understands the challenges facing the people

    In his acceptance speech, Pharm Wafarninyi Theman said his administration would focus on infrastructure, youth employment, and accountable governance if elected.

    He disclosed that Adamawa deserves leadership that will deliver results. They will prioritize roads, agriculture, and education because those are the foundations of development

    Party members described the congress as peaceful and well-organized while the stakeholders expressed optimism that the new executives and the governorship candidate would expand the party’s base across the state.

    The YPP leadership said it would commence statewide consultations and mobilization ahead of the campaign for the 2027 general elections urging the membership and supporters to work assidiously in the interest of the party’s victory in all the contests come 2027 polls.
