The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a respected Islamic scholar, Malam Abubakar Sadiq, widely known as Pharmacy.
In a statement signed by Ibrahim Sani shawai, media aide to Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna said Dr. Gwamna described the death of the late scholar as a profound loss not only to the people of Gombe State but to the entire Muslim Ummah.
He noted that Malam Abubakar Sadiq was a beacon of knowledge, humility, and service, who dedicated his life to the propagation of Islamic teachings, moral guidance, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence within society.
According to him, the late scholar’s commitment to educating the public and offering counsel on family and societal matters earned him widespread respect and admiration across communities.
Dr. Gwamna extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his students, associates, and the broader Muslim community. He prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, grants him Aljannatul Firdaus, and gives his loved ones the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return. The passing of Malam Abubakar Sadiq is a painful reminder of the transient nature of life. We pray that Allah rewards his good deeds and admits him into eternal peace,” he added.
