    The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, PSC+, MNIPS, on Friday, presided over a grand send-forth ceremony in honour of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations (DC OPS), DCP Abdullahi Hassan Ma’aji, who retired from active service on 4th June 2026 after an illustrious 32-year career in the Nigeria Police Force.

    A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar said the event, held in Gusau, brought together distinguished guests from across Zamfara State, including heads of security agencies, government officials, senior police officers, family members, friends, and well-wishers, all gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievements and contributions of the retiring officer.

    Speaking at the ceremony, CP Ahmad .M.Bello described DCP Ma’aji as a disciplined, dedicated, and highly professional officer whose commitment to duty and service to humanity left a lasting impact on the Command and the nation at large. He commended the retiring officer for his integrity, leadership, and unwavering devotion to protecting lives and property throughout his years of service.

    Several dignitaries who delivered goodwill messages paid glowing tributes to DCP Ma’aji, highlighting his exceptional work ethic, humility, and dedication to national service. They noted that his contributions to policing and public safety would continue to inspire younger officers and future generations.

    As a mark of appreciation and recognition for his outstanding service, DCP Ma’aji received various awards, plaques, and gifts from colleagues, associates, and well-wishers. The presentations reflected the deep respect and admiration he earned during his distinguished career.

    In his remarks, the celebrant expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, members of the Command, colleagues, friends, and guests for the honour accorded him. He thanked everyone who supported him throughout his career and assured them that retirement would not diminish his commitment to serving humanity and contributing positively to society.

    The Zamfara State Police Command congratulates DCP Abdullahi Hassan Ma’aji on the successful completion of his meritorious service and wishes him a healthy, peaceful, and fulfilling retirement.
