The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kebbi State Council, heartily congratulates the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman of the Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, on the occasion of his 21st anniversary on the throne

The Council describes the Emir’s two decades and one year of leadership as a period marked by wisdom, dedication, peacebuilding, and unwavering commitment to the development of the Gwandu Emirate and Kebbi State as a whole.

In a statement by the Council Chairman, Comrade Bello Sarki Abubakar and the Secretary, Comrade Ismail Adebayo, NUJ notes with appreciation the Emir’s invaluable contributions toward promoting unity, peaceful coexistence, cultural preservation, and socio-economic progress among the people of the state. His Royal Highness has continued to provide exemplary leadership and fatherly guidance on matters affecting the well-being of his subjects and the nation at large.

The Statement said, the Council further acknowledges the Emir’s support and cooperation with media practitioners in Kebbi State, which has greatly enhanced the dissemination of credible information and the promotion of public enlightenment.

It’s stated that, as the Emir marks this remarkable milestone, the NUJ, Kebbi State Council prays Almighty Allah to grant him continued good health, wisdom, strength, and a long reign filled with peace, prosperity, and greater achievements for the benefit of the people of Gwandu Emirate, Kebbi State, and Nigeria.

Once again, the Council joins family members, traditional institutions, government officials, and well-wishers in celebrating this historic occasion.
