Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, was inaugurated alongside several APC governors, federal lawmakers and party chieftains as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the forthcoming Ekiti State Governorship Election.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya joined other top leaders of the party, including Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, at the inauguration ceremony held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
A statement signed by the DG press affairs Gombe State government house, Ismailia Uba Mislli said the event was presided over by the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, alongside members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Speaking during the inauguration, Professor Yilwatda commended members of the Campaign Council for accepting to serve, expressing confidence in their collective political experience, commitment and capacity to deliver victory for the APC in the Ekiti governorship election.
The APC National Chairman noted that the composition of the council reflects the party’s commitment to unity, inclusiveness and collective responsibility.
He emphasized the need for a coordinated, grassroots-driven and issue-based campaign that would effectively communicate the achievements of APC-led administrations and strengthen public confidence in the party.
Chairman of the Campaign Council and Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, assured the party leadership that members of the council would work tirelessly to secure victory for the APC at the polls.
Governor Uba Sani said the council would pursue an aggressive but people-oriented campaign strategy focused on deepening grassroots engagement and effectively projecting the achievements of APC governments at both the national and state levels.
Also speaking, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who is the Co-Chairman of the Campaign Council, described the Ekiti governorship election as strategically important to the APC’s political agenda and democratic consolidation efforts.
Sen.Akpabio expressed optimism that the APC would emerge victorious in the election, citing the party’s internal cohesion and the performance of the Biodun Oyebanji administration in Ekiti State.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by APC governors, members of the National Working Committee, federal lawmakers, ministers and other senior party stakeholders.
