    Governor Radda Receives Police DIG, Reaffirms Federal-State Security Partnership

    1. Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has received the Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Suleiman Muhammad, at Muhammadu Buhari House, Katsina

    This was contained in a statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Governor, made available to newsmen.

    It said that the Governor assured the visiting delegation of his administration’s full support towards the operations of the Nigeria Police Force and sister security agencies operating in the State. This support, he stressed, is aimed at strengthening joint efforts to end criminality and restore lasting peace across Katsina.

    Governor Radda disclosed that he had recently met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief of Army Staff, Director General of the Department of State Services, and the National Security Adviser to discuss strategies for tackling insecurity.

    “I have reiterated my commitment to working with the Federal Government to ensure the menace of insecurity is addressed across Katsina State and the nation at large,” the Governor said.

    He commended the Inspector General of Police for the prompt response of security agencies whenever the need arises in the State, and thanked the Police hierarchy for their continued collaboration.

    Governor Radda appreciated the delegation’s visit and thanked them for commiserating with the people and Government of Katsina State over the death of Late Major General Rabe Abubakar.

    The Governor also commended the Federal Government, security agencies, and all relevant stakeholders for their continued support to Katsina.

    Earlier, DIG Suleiman Muhammad explained that the delegation came to condole the government and people of Katsina over the passing of Late Major General Rabe Abubakar.

    The visit, according to the Police Deputy Inspector General aimed at restrategizing on the security situation in Katsina State and the North West region, with a view to finding lasting solutions and charting the way forward.
