* Gov Praises the Gesture, Pledges Commitment to Partnerships
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has received five brand-new vehicles donated by the Dikko Ko Gobe Support Group , led by philanthropist and political scientist, Dr. Sadik Abba Sayyadi Ruma, in support of his political and humanitarian engagements.
The presentation took place at the Government House, Katsina.
Governor Radda expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a strong indication of confidence in his administration and a shared commitment to the progress and development of Katsina State.
“I sincerely appreciate this generous gesture from Dr. Sadik Abba Sayyadi Ruma and the Dikko Ko Gobe Support Group. It reflects strong confidence in our leadership and our collective desire to move Katsina State forward,” the Governor stated.
He further commended the group for its continued support to government and communities, noting that such partnerships play a vital role in strengthening development efforts and improving service delivery across the state.
Governor Radda reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to sustain collaboration with individuals and organisations contributing positively to the growth and wellbeing of citizens.
“Government will continue to welcome and support meaningful partnerships that are geared towards improving the lives of our citizens,” he added.
Earlier, the Chairman of the group,Dr. Sadik Abba Sayyadi Ruma, disclosed that beyond the donation of five vehicles, the group has also earmarked between ₦50 million and ₦100 million to support humanitarian interventions and community-based projects in Katsina State.
He explained that the initiative is designed to complement government efforts and strengthen ongoing development programmes across the state, while expressing confidence in the leadership of Governor Radda.
“This support is part of our commitment to complement government efforts in improving the lives of the people and to further strengthen ongoing development initiatives across Katsina State,” Dr. Ruma said.
He added that the group remains committed to initiatives that promote social welfare, peacebuilding, and grassroots development.
Also speaking, the Deputy Chairman of Batsari Local Government Area, Malam Hashimu Bello, commended the Governor for his sustained efforts in addressing insecurity, particularly banditry, which had previously displaced several residents in parts of the local government area.
He also praised Dr. Sadik Abba Sayyadi Ruma for his consistent humanitarian interventions, noting that his contributions have continued to bring relief and support to affected communities.
The event was attended by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasair, and other senior government officials.
