    DIG CONCLUDES OPERATIONAL VISIT TO KEBBI, ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS

    The Deputy Inspector‑General of Police in charge of Finance and Administration and supervising DIG, North‑West Geo‑Political Zone, DIG Sulaiman Mohammed Abdul, psc, PhD, FCNA, FCCSA(USA), ACTI, mni, has concluded his operational and security assessment visit to Kebbi State on behalf of the Inspector‑General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM.

    This is contained in a statement signed by the command public relations officer SP Bashir Usman issued to newsmen.

    During the visit, DIG Abdul held a Town Hall Meeting with critical stakeholders, including traditional rulers, heads of security agencies, religious leaders, and community representatives. The engagement focused on collaborative approaches to addressing security challenges, enhancing early warning mechanisms, and promoting peaceful coexistence. He also paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, commending the State Government’s support and partnership with the Police Command.

    The operational visit featured a security assessment of key facilities, engagement with officers and men of the Command, the passing out parade of 436 retrained Police Constables, and the launch of the Violent Crimes Response Unit (VCRU) equipped with operational vehicles and motorcycles to strengthen response capabilities.

    The Kebbi State Police Command, under CP Umar M. Hadejia, reaffirms its commitment to intelligence‑led policing and community partnership. The Command urges residents to continue supporting security agencies with timely information.
