Nigerian youth have been advised to focus on acquiring both Islamic and Western education, and to learn trades and hand works to become useful to the country.
The Chairman of the Non Governmental organization Aliyu Shehu Charity Foundation, Alhaji Aliyu Shehu Nuhu, made this appeal when the Zaria Grassroot Soccer Development Association organized a friendly match between Nasara FC and Golden City Club in Zaria.
Aliyu Shehu Nuhu said youths have a lot to contribute in every aspect of live especially in sports activities.
The Chairman of the Aliyu Shehu Charity Foundation noted that football has now become an area for investment and wealth creation.
He added that anyone who gets the opportunity should make it a priority to support his community, especially youths, less privileged among the community.
Also speaking to journalists, the Former Governor of Kaduna State and Dallatun Zazzau, Dr, Mukhtar Ramalan Yaro, said youths are the foundation for community and national development.
Dr, Mukhtar Ramalan Yaro urged youths to avoid drug abuse and to focus on acquiring education and learning trades and skills acquisition to face global challenges.
Similarly, the Danruwatan Zazzau, Alhaji Bello Shehu Idris, advised youths to be diligent in pursuing education and learning trades especially online opportunity.
The friendly match was played between Nasara FC and Golden City FC and ended 1-1 in regulation time.
Nasara FC won on penalties with a score of 3-0, after Golden City missed all three of their penalty kicks.
The friendly match was organized by Zaria Grassroot soccer development association under the leadership of wakilin wassanin zazzau Alhaji Aminu Germus ended peacefully.
