Governor Uba Sani is hosting an extraordinary joint meeting of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and Northern Traditional Leaders Council at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.
The meeting is chaired by the Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, with the Sultan of Sokoto leading the Northern Traditional Leaders.
Also in attendance are representatives of the National Security Adviser, the Minister of Defence, the Inspector General of Police, and the Director General of the Department of State Services.
The high level security meeting has brought together former Inspectors General of Police, retired military, police and paramilitary officers from Northern Nigeria, as well as former Secretaries to the Government of the Federation, to deliberate on issues affecting the region.
