Niger State governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has commended the President of Dangote Group and renowned Industrialist, Alhaji Aliko Dangote for his unwavering commitment to promoting grassroots capacity.
A statement signed by Bologi Ibrahim Chief press secretary to the Governor said the farmer governor gave the commendation when he embarked on a working visit to the Dangote Petroleum refinery and petrochemical complex in Lekki, Lagos State.
The farmer governor along with the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Sen. John Owan Enoh were received by the President and Chief Executive of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
The farmer governor described Aliko Dangote as a pacesetter that has given opportunities to Nigerians especially the youths to harness their potentials.
Farmer Umaru Bago said the Dangote refinery serves as a platform for gaining vast knowledge among Africans about the petrochemical industry and appreciated Africa’s richest man for the initiative which he said has put Nigeria and Africa on the global scene.
President of Damgote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote appreciated the farmer governor for the visit and used the medium to call on the federal government to put more efforts on domestic investors who will help in boosting the socio -economic growth of the nation.
The industrialist said, the move to provide enabling environment for domestic investors will further draw the attention of international investors as well.
Aliko Dangote thereafter led the farmer governor and his entourage in assessing the world class industrial facilities at the refinery.
The visit by the farmer governor to the Dangote refinery underscores the commitment to fostering strategic partnerships, promoting industrial growth, and exploring opportunities that will enhance economic development, investment, and industrialization in Niger State
The farmer governor was accompanied to the facility by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, Principal Private Secretary to the farmer governor, Emmanuel Umar and the Chairman, Niger Foods Security Systems and Logistics Ltd, Mr Sammy Adigun.
