The Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives Dr Tajudeen Abbas said the message is simple: let the facts speak, let the figures convince, and let Nigerians judge the progress we have made.
He started this today while receiving the leadership of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, led by its National Coordinator, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, on a courtesy visit
Dr Tajudeen Abbas urged the Movement to take the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election directly to the people – door by door, state by state, community by community – with facts, figures, wisdom, issues and maturity.
He explained that the achievements of the Renewed Hope Administration must not merely be announced; Nigerians must be shown how these policies and reforms are translating into progress across the 36 states.
The Speaker maintained that as a House, we will continue to play our constitutional role as a bridge between government and the grassroots and to enlighten Nigerians on the wisdom of continuity.
According to him,no nation can undo decades of accumulated challenges in four years. Nigerians have made sacrifices for the reforms undertaken since 2023. It would therefore be a disservice to those sacrifices and to the modest gains already recorded to abandon the journey before the reforms have had sufficient time to deliver their full impact.
Dr Tajudeen said 2027 should therefore not be a contest of noise, propaganda or empty promises. It should be a referendum on performance – measured by facts and figures.
“And with the right message, the right evidence and the right engagement with Nigerians, the case for continuity will speak for itself”he added.
