The Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA), Major General Adamu Adam Wase Hassan, has formally inaugurated the Third and Fourth Quarter Courses 2026. Delivering his inaugural address at the Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Auditorium, NASA Kachia, Kaduna State, the Commandant charged the students to approach every aspect of their training with seriousness, dedication, and an unwavering sense of purpose.

Major General Hassan emphasized that all activities conducted in the school academic, physical, and tactical are deliberately structured to mold students into exceptional gunners. He noted that the training curriculum is designed to produce highly skilled, proficient, adaptive, combat-ready, and resilient artillerymen capable of meeting contemporary operational demands capable of contributing meaningfully and effectively to addressing the security challenges confronting the Nation. According to him, excellence is never accidental; it is achieved through consistent effort, discipline, and a commitment to continuous self‑improvement.
The Commandant further urged the students to uphold the highest standards of discipline at all times, describing discipline as the bedrock of the military profession. He reiterated NASA’s zero‑tolerance stance on all forms of indiscipline, including absenteeism from classes or parades, and any conduct unbecoming of a soldier or officer. He advised students to thoroughly familiarise themselves with the school’s rules and regulations, stressing that ignorance will not be accepted as an excuse for any offence committed while undergoing training at NASA
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Commandant, Acting Directors, Acting Chief Instructors, Consultants, Instructors, and Staff Officers of the Nigerian Army School of Artillery.
Major General Hassan’s address reaffirms NASA’s unwavering commitment to producing highly professional, disciplined, and mission ready artillery officers and soldiers who will contribute effectively to national security.
