The Management of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, under the leadership of its Executive Chairman, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, has paid a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State Ministry for Local Government Affairs as part of its ongoing sensitisation and advocacy campaign for the 2027 Hajj registration exercise.
In a statement signed by Ibrahim Datti public relations officer of the board, said the visit, led by the Executive Chairman, was aimed at strengthening collaboration and partnership between the Agency and the Ministry, particularly in mobilising and sensitising intending pilgrims across the 23 Local Government Areas of the State.
Receiving the delegation, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Amman Lagos, was briefed on the Agency’s ongoing efforts to ensure that prospective pilgrims are adequately informed about the 2027 Hajj registration process, payment procedures, deadlines and other important requirements.
The Agency considers the Ministry for Local Government Affairs a critical stakeholder in the successful implementation of its Hajj enlightenment campaign, given its strategic role and direct link with the Local Government Councils and communities across the State.
Speaking during the visit, the Executive Chairman emphasised the importance of collective efforts among relevant government institutions in ensuring that intending pilgrims receive accurate, timely and reliable information and are protected from misinformation and fraudulent activities.
He therefore solicited the Ministry’s support and cooperation in extending the sensitisation campaign to the grassroots through the various Local Government Councils.
The visit underscores the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency’s commitment to deepening inter-agency collaboration and ensuring a well-organised, transparent and successful 2027 Hajj operation for Kaduna State pilgrims
