The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, has paid a thank-you visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Edidiong Inyang, in appreciation of his exceptional support, cooperation and commitment to the activities of the Nigeria Police Force within the Local Government Area.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfon John said during the visit, the Commissioner expressed profound appreciation to the Chairman for his consistent partnership with the Police, noting that his support goes beyond providing assistance to enable the Police discharge its statutory responsibilities.
The CP particularly commended Rt. Hon. Edidiong Inyang for his uncommon commitment to security, stressing that the Chairman does not only support Police operations but, on several occasions, personally accompanies Police officers to operational grounds, demonstrating his determination to ensure the safety and security of the people of Ibesikpo Asutan.
CP Azare described such commitment as a practical demonstration of responsible leadership and an example of the kind of partnership required between the Police, government and communities for effective policing.
Following the visit, the Executive Chairman accompanied the Commissioner of Police to the Ibesikpo Asutan Divisional Police Station, where they interacted with officers and men and inspected facilities at the station.
The visit further underscored the strong partnership between the Akwa Ibom State Police Command and the Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Council, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to sustaining peace, supporting effective policing and ensuring the safety of residents.
Responding, Rt. Hon. Edidiong Inyang appreciated the Commissioner of Police for the visit and commended his leadership and commitment to maintaining peace and security across Akwa Ibom State. He assured the Command of his continued support, cooperation and active participation in efforts aimed at combating crime and protecting lives and property in Ibesikpo Asutan and the Stateat large.
