The Acting Commander, Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed paid working visits to officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army Institute of Science Education and Technology,(NAISET) and the Nigerian Army College of Education (NACOE) at Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin, Kwara State on Thursday, 3 September 2026.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Oluwaseun Adewale Oriade Assistant Director Army Public Relations NACOE said the Acting Corps Commander NAEC, while commending the Commandant NAISET and Provost, NACOE, expressed satisfaction with the level of academic activities. He further said both institutions have created a conducive environment for learning. He reaffirmed the commitment of the NAEC in providing all the necessary support to sustain excellence and produce well-rounded personnel.
During the visit, Brigadier General Ahmed inspected 79 Recruits preparing for WASSCE for private candidates for the 2026 second series. He encouraged the Rec to remain focused, disciplined, and diligent, noting that education is a critical pillar for professionalism and career advancement in the Nigerian Army.
Earlier, the Ag Commandant, NAISET, Colonel Abbas Ahmad Abubakar, appreciated the Acting Corps Commander for his unwavering support towards the development of facilities and well coordinated activities in the Institute. He assured that NAISET will remain committed to producing technically competent personnel for the Nigerian Army.
In the same vein, the Ag Provost NACOE, Colonel Prince Godswill Agbai, appluaded the Commander for his consistent support to the College. He noted that the acting Corps Commander’s leadership has continued to inspire growth and innovation in teachers’ training within the Nigerian Army. He expressed optimism for more collaboration to enhance the capacity of the institutions.
Furthermore, the Ag Rector, Colonel Olalekan Bamiteko of the Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology, NACEST, Makurdi, also commended the Acting Corps Commander, he acknowledged the Commander’s proactive leadership and sustained efforts in upgrading college facilities, which have significantly enhanced effective administration and improved the overall learning environment for personnel and students.
The visit was aimed at assessing the academic and infrastructural development of the two institutions. It was undertaken to boost the morale of personnel and students. The visit was very successful and hitch free.
