The Hon. Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Lawal Barau Bungudu, has led officials of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on an inspection tour of the Gusau International Airport as preparations continue for the commencement of domestic and commercial flight operations next month.
A statement signed by Jamilu Bello Information Officer ministry of works and infrastructure said the inspection focused on the airport’s facilities, safety standards and overall readiness to support safe and efficient flight operations.
The NCAA team, along with technical engineers from the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, inspected key areas of the airport and assessed the facilities required for the commencement of flight operations.
The visit marks another important step in the efforts of the Zamfara State Government, in collaboration with relevant aviation authorities, to ensure that all necessary requirements are met before commercial flights begin.
With the progress being recorded, Zamfara State is steadily moving closer to a new chapter in its aviation history.
The NCAA team congratulated the Government and people of Zamfara State in advance on the significant achievement of having an international airport and expressed optimism as preparations continue towards the commencement of flight operations.
