The National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS), Federal University of Education, Zaria chapter, has felicitated with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, on his first anniversary in office and presented the newly inaugurated executive council of the association.
A statement signed by the Sani Lawal Maqarphy media aide to the VC said the new President of the NAKSS FUEZ chapter, Comr. Najib Iliyasu Tagwaye, and the outgoing President, Comr. Ja’afar Sani, alongside other outgoing and incoming executive council members, were presented to the Vice-Chancellor by the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Mal. Abdullahi Abdulkadir.
The Vice-Chancellor was represented at the occasion by the Director, Zaria Consultancy Limited, Prof. A. S. Bello.
In his remarks, Prof. Bunkure appreciated the association for the gesture and congratulated the newly inaugurated executive members.
He noted that the University had continued to prioritise students’ welfare and activities, while urging the new leadership of NAKSS to promote inclusiveness, justice, prudence and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Also present at the occasion were the Deputy Director, TeCETEL, Dr Ramatu Nuru, and the Sole Administrator, Teaching Laboratory Schools, Mal. Ibrahim Hussaini Kwall.
