    VC Inspects Renewed Hope Initiative ICT Hub

    The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has inspected the facilities at the ATM Gwarzo CBT Centre established under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) of the Federal Government.

    A statement signed by Sani Lawal Maqarphy, media aide to the VC said the Renewed Hope Initiative is led by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

    During the inspection, the Vice-Chancellor was taken round the facilities housed within the ICT hub by the Director of ICT, Dr Ayotunde Fadele.

    The facilities include a smart classroom equipped with more than 60 computer systems for computer-based testing, teaching, conferences and other academic activities.

    The Vice-Chancellor also inspected the Renewed Hope TETFund Experience Centre, which includes a laboratory equipped with 250 workstations, as well as an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Laboratory and a Data Centre.

    Other facilities at the centre include an interactive section for researchers to collaborate, discuss and develop ideas.

    The ICT hub brings together the various facilities for computer-based testing, teaching, research and other ICT-related academic activities.

    The facilities are powered by a 76 KVA solar energy system, which provides power for the centre’s operations.
