The Zamfara State Police Command joined citizens and security stakeholders across the State in commemorating Customer Service Week 2026, in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM.
This was contained in a statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar made available to newsmen.

It said the celebration, held across the Command’s Area Commands, Divisions and other operational formations, provided an opportunity to appreciate the people of Zamfara State for their continued trust, cooperation and partnership with the Police in the collective efforts towards maintaining peace, preventing crime and ensuring the safety and security of all residents.

In line with this year’s theme, “The Extra Mile,” the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, PSC+, MNIPS, CCNP, reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to putting the public at the centre of its policing responsibilities.
The Commissioner emphasised that going the extra mile in policing entails listening to citizens, responding promptly to their concerns, respecting their rights and dignity, and providing professional, accountable and responsive police services. He further stressed the importance of strengthening police-community partnerships as a fundamental requirement for effective crime prevention and sustainable peace.

CP Bello appreciated the people of Zamfara State for their continued support and cooperation with the Police, and urged them to sustain the timely sharing of credible information with security agencies to enhance the fight against crime and criminality.
He assured the people of the State that the Command, under his leadership, will continue to improve its service delivery, uphold professionalism and integrity, and go the extra mile in providing effective, responsive and citizen-focused policing across Zamfara State.h October,
