Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives,Dr Tajudeen Abbas has launched the distribution of another round of empowerment for the people of the Zaria federal Constituency, aimed at alleviating their suffering and empowering them.

Speaking while launching the programme at the Nuhu Babajo Stadium, Dr Tajudeen Abbas said “we were not merely distributing equipment; we were investing in enterprise, strengthening livelihoods and creating pathways to self-reliance.

He observed that many of the Constituency people already possess the skills and determination to succeed. What they need are the tools, capital and opportunities to turn their potential into prosperity. A sewing machine can start a business. Farming tools can increase productivity. A grant can expand an enterprise.

According to him,the real transformation begins with discipline, proper management and the determination to grow.

The Speaker maintained that when we empower women, we strengthen households. When we equip our young people to become productive, we create opportunities, restore dignity and contribute to community stability.

He added that this effort aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms and our shared ambition to move Nigeria towards greater productivity. While families continue to bear real sacrifices, our responsibility is to help bridge the gap between economic recovery and relief at the household level.

Dr Tajudeen Abbas also charged beneficiaries to protect what you have received, put it to productive use and build something that lasts, stressing that they begin carefully. Work consistently. Grow steadily.

“We are not merely putting tools in people’s hands; we are creating opportunities for those hands to build a better future” he added.
