The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUE Zaria), Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has received Dr. Jamil Haruna, a Permanent Member of the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB), who paid him a courtesy visit ahead of the University’s 2026 Primary Education (PED) Week.
Dr. Haruna who is to represent the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mal. Muhammed Mubarak, was led to the Vice-Chancellor by the Head of the Department of Primary Education, Dr. Lamido Mary Buba, and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Chairperson, Dr. Aishatu Yahaya Idris.

A statement signed by Sani Lawal Maqarphy media aide to the VC said organised by the Department of Primary Education, PED Week 2026, themed National Development: The Role of Primary School Teachers, is held today, Tuesday, 20 October 2026, at the Dr. Suleiman Balarabe Chamber, FUE Zaria.
The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Host, while the Executive Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Her Excellency Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, will chair the occasion and the Executive Chairman of KADSUBEB, Mal. Muhammed Mubarak, is the Special Guest of Honour.
