As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and sustain the fight against banditry across Zamfara State, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Muhammad Bello psc+, Mnips, paid an operational visit to Dansadau Emirate in Maru Local Government Area of the state.
A statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar said Dansadau is among the areas that have experienced persistent security challenges arising from the activities of armed bandits.
The visit forms part of the Command’s strategic efforts aimed at enhancing security presence, improving community policing, and fostering stronger collaboration with critical stakeholders in the area.
During the visit, the Commissioner of Police paid homage to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Garba Muhammad, Sarkin Kudun Dansadau, where he sought royal blessings and appreciated the traditional institution for its continued support towards peacebuilding and security management in the emirate.
The CP also held interactive sessions with stakeholders, community leaders, and members of the public, during which issues relating to security and public safety were extensively discussed. He reassured residents of the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, while calling on members of the public to continue supporting security agencies with credible and timely information.
The stakeholders commended the Commissioner of Police for the operational visit and expressed appreciation for the Command’s sustained efforts in tackling banditry and other criminal activities in the area.
The Zamfara State Police Command reiterates its resolve to work closely with traditional rulers, community leaders, and all relevant stakeholders to restore lasting peace and stability across the state.
