Thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 17 local Government Areas in Yobe state thronged Damaturu to welcome Gov Mai Mala Buni and Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, APC preferred governorship aspirant in the state, after their successful screening in Abuja.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at the Muhammadu Buhari International Airport Damaturu, Gov. Buni, said “today’s outing is a true indication that Yobe state is the home of APC.
“We remain one united family, we must not allow politics to divide us. We should avoid banter, name calling and abuse, it is not in our culture and character; we must not tolerate it,” he said.
The governor commended the party supporters for their faith in the administration and all the decisions taken by the party.
“Your support and cooperation to our administration has produced fruitful results including this airport.
“Your faith in the decisions of the party which produced the preferred governorship aspirant is quite encouraging and supportive,”Buni said.
