    305 DEMONSTRATION REGIMENT EMERGES OVERALL WINNER OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY SCHOOL OF ARTILLERY COMMANDANT’S LEAGUE 2026

    The Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA) Commandant’s League 2026 edition, which was formally declared open on 19 May 2026, concluded on Tuesday, 23 June 2026 at the NASA Physical Training Ground, Kachia. After weeks of intense, disciplined, and highly competitive matches, 305 Demonstration Regiment emerged as the overall winner.

    A statement signed by Captain Odunayo Balikis Olokodana,Acting Assistant Director Army Public RelationsNigerian Army School of Artillery, Kachia said the Special Guest of Honour and Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Artillery, Maj Gen Adam Adamu Wase Hassan, noted during the closing ceremony that the event formed part of the series of activities marking the graduation of the First and Second Quarter courses of 2026.

    The Commandant described the Commandant’s League as more than a mere sporting competition. He emphasized that the League was deliberately conducted to foster team spirit, cooperation, resilience, discipline, and esprit de corps among the personnel. “The determination, teamwork, and sporting spirit displayed on the field mirror the same qualities required to defend our nation, uphold peace and security, and sustain the proud traditions of the Nigerian Army,” he said.

    Maj Gen Adam further highlighted that the competition provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen camaraderie across units and agencies, enhance physical fitness, and identify outstanding talents capable of representing the Nigerian Army at national and international levels. He stressed that beyond the excitement of the matches, the League serves as a reminder that a sound mind in a sound body remains the fundamental pillar of operational effectiveness.

    The 2026 edition featured the following teams: Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA), Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology (NNSAT), Army Central Ammunition Depot Aguru (ACADA). The teams competed in various sporting events, including Tug of War, Volleyball, Basketball, and Football.

    The closing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests and dignitaries from the Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology, the Department of Launch Services and Space Operation of Defence Space Administration, and the Army Central Ammunition Depot Aguru.

    The climax of the ceremony included the presentation of trophies, medals, and the Wooden Spoon to the deserving teams in recognition of their performance throughout the competition.
