President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has scored 253,804 votes to beat his opponent, Mr Osifo Stanley who scored zero votes in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Yobe state.
Our correspondent reports that Tinubu’s score represents 91.5 per cent of the total number of registered APC members in Yobe State.
Announcing the results in Damaturu, Governor Mai Mala Buni, who doubles as the collation officer of the presidential primary, said Tinubu scored the highest number of votes and hereby declared as the winner in the state
Governor Buni described Yobe State as an APC state, and second home to President Tinubu.
“Yobe State will deliver 100% of its vote to President Tinubu in the general election to return to office for his second term” Gov. Buni assured.
He commended APC supporters for the massive turn out, saying “we should reflect this in the general election with full force”,
The Governor commended the people for the peaceful conduct and “the show of love to President Tinubu and the party”.
