The Management has noted with concern certain irregularities, discrepancies, and inaccuracies currently observed in ABUTH staff employee records and payroll data.

This was contained in a statement signed by Haruna Ibrahim head information and public relations officer of the hospital issued to newsmen.

It said that these issues arise from administrative and process challenges reportedly as a result of a transition by IPPIS from the Oracle EBS Platform to the Soft Suite Platform and they are not within the competence and control of ABU Teaching Hospital.

According to the statement, the situation is not peculiar to ABUTH but is a system-wide challenge affecting multiple MDAs in the country.

Inaccuracies in employee records and payroll calculations have occurred due to data conversion and mapping errors during the migration process.

IPPIS role players at the hospital have been denied access to the new platform. This has hindered the ability to process monthly corrections, including:staff upgrades, promotions, Bank account updates, payment of salary arrears , etc.

The restriction has resulted in an increase in staff complaints and payroll-related grievances.

Engagements are ongoing with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF)and relevant IPPIS support authorities to resolve the issue relating to accessing and rectification of the problem encountered by staff.

Management acknowledges the inconvenience caused and sincerely urged for more patience and understanding of all affected staff members.

Management is optimistic that as soon as the outstanding processes are resolved, members will be duly informed on any further development.
