Following the compensation approved for farmers in Giwa on 16th June 2026, another significant milestone was recorded today, 17th June 2026, as victims affected by the demolition exercise around Alhuda Huda College received long-awaited compensation.

It will be recalled that several houses located behind Alhuda Huda College in Zaria were demolished by the previous administration without compensation being paid to the affected residents which led to loss of lives and severe economic constraints.

In line with this administration’s commitment to justice, fairness, and responsible governance, the cries and appeals of the affected victims were heard, leading to the approval for adequate compensation to address their losses.

To actualize this, the Director General of Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), Dr Bashir Garba Ibrahim, alongside members of the management team, visited Zaria to formally present offer letters for new residential plots to the beneficiaries, with allocation granted on zero premium.

The presentation ceremony was witnessed by notable personalities, including Mahmud Lawal Ismail, member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Zaria Constituency, who played a key role in ensuring that justice was served for the affected persons.

The beneficiaries, in turn, expressed profound appreciation to Uba Sani for his compassion, responsive leadership, and unwavering commitment to justice and fairness for the people of Kaduna State.
