The Commandant Nigerian Army Ordnance School (NAOS), Maj Gen VD Beryo conducted familiarization visits to Headquarters Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST) and Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army today 17 June 2026.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Lateefat Olapeju Okesanjo ,Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Nigerian Army Ordnance School said during the visit to HQ NACST, the Corps Commander Major General ND Shagaya congratulated the Commandant on his appointment as the 54th Commandant of NAOS and wished him a successful tenure. He further assured the Commandant of the Corps’ continued support towards the achievement of the School’s mandate.
Subsequently, the Commandant paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Maj Gen AA Babalola. The GOC congratulated the Commandant on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to effectively lead the School.
In his remarks, Maj Gen VD Beryo stated that the visits were aimed at fostering stronger ties and enhancing collaboration between NAOS,NACST, and 81 Div NA. He emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation and support in achieving the School’s training objectives and contributing to ongoing efforts to address contemporary security challenges.
The visits provided an opportunity for discussions on areas of mutual interest and further strengthened the existing relationship between the School and the formations.
