Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has extended warm congratulations to the officers, soldiers, and veterans of the Nigerian Army on the occasion of the 2026 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL).

This was contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim kaula Mohammad chief press secretary to the Governor made available to newsmen.

Governor Radda described this year’s theme, “Protecting the Nation and Serving the People,” as a fitting reflection of the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protecting the lives and property of citizens.

The Governor paid glowing tribute to the courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of officers and personnel of the Nigerian Army, particularly those serving on the frontlines in Katsina State, the North-West region, and other parts of the country affected by insecurity.

He commended the Army’s resilience and steadfast efforts in combating banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and other criminal activities, noting that their dedication has continued to strengthen the nation’s security and restore hope to affected communities.

Governor Radda reaffirmed the commitment of the Katsina State Government to sustaining its strong partnership with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the collective effort to achieve lasting peace and security across the state.

“Our administration remains fully committed to supporting the Nigerian Army through sustained collaboration, intelligence sharing, and community engagement. Together, we will continue to strengthen the fight against insecurity and create a safer environment where our people can live, work, and prosper,” the Governor said.

Governor Radda also remembered the gallant officers and soldiers who paid the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation, praying for the peaceful repose of their souls and for the speedy recovery of those wounded in the line of duty.

He urged officers and personnel of the Nigerian Army to remain steadfast in their constitutional responsibility, assuring them of the appreciation, support, and prayers of the people and Government of Katsina State.

Governor Radda wished the Nigerian Army continued success in its noble mission of defending the nation and serving the people.
