* Forum Presents Award of Excellence to Governor
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, today held a closed-door meeting with the 361 councillors from across the state at the Government House, Katsina
The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots governance and enhancing collaboration between the state and local governments.
It also discussed issues aimed at promoting community development and the continued progress of Katsina State.
During the meeting, the Councillors Forum, Katsina State Chapter, presented an Award of Excellence to Governor Radda.
The award was in recognition of his commitment to strengthening grassroots governance and promoting development across the state.
“I sincerely appreciate the Councillors Forum for this honour. I regard this award as a recognition of our collective efforts and an encouragement to continue working with our local government leaders and councillors to deliver meaningful development and improve the lives of our people at the grassroots,” Governor Radda said.
The Governor commended the councillors for their contributions to grassroots development.
He urged them to remain committed to their responsibilities and work in the best interest of their respective communities and the people of Katsina State.
Among those in attendance were the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasir Yahya Daura; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji.
