The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP A.M. Bello, PSC+, MNIPS, has joined Muslim faithful across Zamfara State and beyond in celebrating Eid-ul-Maulud, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a goodwill message, through the command public relations officer DSP Yazid Abubakar, CP Bello extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful and urged them to use the occasion to reflect on the exemplary life, teachings and virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his enduring messages of peace, compassion, patience, tolerance, justice and love for humanity.
The Commissioner called on the people of Zamfara State to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and understanding, noting that sustainable security, development and prosperity can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and unity.
CP Bello also urged parents, religious and community leaders, as well as youths, to uphold the values of peaceful living, responsible citizenship and respect for one another, while discouraging all forms of violence, criminality, hate speech and other activities capable of undermining the peace and security of the State.
He further called on Muslim faithful to use the occasion to offer prayers for sustained peace, security and prosperity in Zamfara State and Nigeria at large, while seeking Allah’s guidance and intervention in the affairs of the State and the nation.
CP Bello prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection and blessings upon the people of Zamfara State and Nigeria, and called on all citizens to celebrate the occasion peacefully, responsibly and in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW).
