The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) warmly felicitates with our Grand Patron, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
A statement signed by Abdurrahman Balogun,National President,Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN), said MMPN joins millions of Nigerians, Muslims across the world, traditional rulers, religious leaders, government officials and members of the media community in celebrating the Sultan’s remarkable milestone and his decades of dedicated service to Islam, Nigeria and humanity.
As the Grand Patron of MMPN, His Eminence has remained a source of inspiration and guidance to Muslim media practitioners, consistently emphasising the importance of truth, fairness, professionalism and responsible journalism in promoting peace and national cohesion.
The Sultan’s leadership of the NSCIA has also demonstrated his commitment to strengthening Islamic unity, fostering interfaith understanding and promoting peaceful coexistence among Nigerians irrespective of religious, ethnic or regional differences.
MMPN particularly appreciates His Eminence’s unwavering support for the media and his recognition of the critical role journalists play in shaping public opinion, defending truth and advancing the common good.
On this auspicious occasion, MMPN celebrates the Sultan’s wisdom, humility, courage and statesmanship, while acknowledging his enduring contributions to the development of Islam and Nigeria.
We pray that Almighty Allah grants His Eminence continued good health, wisdom, strength and many more years in the service of Islam, humanity and the nation.
