Today, 5 October 2026, I join family, friends, associates and well-wishers across Bauchi State and Nigeria in celebrating His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State, on the occasion of his 68th birthday.
Having taken the time to study and document the story of his tenure, including the policies, projects, challenges and milestones that have shaped his administration, I have come to appreciate even more deeply the complexity of leadership and the weight of responsibility that comes with governing a state.
A governor’s tenure is ultimately judged not only by political narratives, but by the decisions taken, the challenges confronted, the projects delivered, the opportunities created and, most importantly, the impact on the lives of the people.
Governor Bala Mohammed’s years in office have therefore provided a significant chapter in the contemporary history of Bauchi State—one worthy of documentation, reflection and honest assessment.
At 68, His Excellency has travelled a considerable distance in life and public service. His journey has taken him through important national responsibilities and into the demanding arena of state leadership, where every decision carries consequences for millions of citizens.

Beyond the politics, however, is the human story: decades of experience, perseverance, relationships, successes, setbacks and an enduring commitment to public life.
As I reflect on the journey I have had the privilege of documenting, I am reminded that history is not written merely in speeches and official records. It is written in the roads built, institutions strengthened, lives touched, opportunities created and the memories that citizens carry with them.
On this special occasion, I wish His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed good health, wisdom, strength and many more years of purposeful living.
May Almighty Allah continue to guide him, protect him and grant him the grace to serve with distinction. May the years ahead bring greater fulfilment and may his contributions to Bauchi State and Nigeria continue to receive the thoughtful assessment they deserve.
Happy 68th Birthday, Your Excellency.
May you live long, live well and continue to make history.
