Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condoled with the Deputy Managing Director of the Kano State Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Alhaji Auwalu Lawan Shuaibu Aranposu, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Alhassan, who passed away on Sunday after a brief illness.

It said Hajiya Maryam Alhassan died at the age of 75 and is survived by seven children, including Alhaji Auwalu Lawan Shuaibu Aranposu, her second child.
The Governor described the deceased as a woman of exemplary character, humility and compassion, who was deeply committed to the wellbeing of her family and community.

Governor Yusuf said Hajiya Maryam lived a virtuous and commendable life, dedicating herself to raising her children and positively impacting those around her.
This was contained in a condolence message issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano on Sunday.
Governor Yusuf extended his heartfelt condolences to Alhaji Auwalu Aranposu, members of the immediate family, relatives and loved ones of the deceased, urging them to take solace in Almighty Allah’s decree.
He prayed to Allah to forgive Hajiya Maryam Alhassan’s shortcomings, reward her good deeds and grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdausi, while granting the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
