    Gov. Inuwa Yahaya Receives Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Member- Elect Ahead of Swearing-in at NASS

    Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has received the member-elect representing Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Usman Maijama’a Kallamu, who presented his INEC Certificate of Return to the Governor ahead of his swearing-in next week in Abuja.

    A statement signed by Ismaila Uba Misilli Director-General ( Press Affairs)Government House Gombe said Engr. Kallamu, who contested the bye-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), secured a decisive victory in the poll, emerging with a clear mandate to represent the three local government areas in the Green Chamber.

    Receiving the lawmaker-elect at the Government House, Governor Inuwa Yahaya congratulated him on his electoral victory and urged him to regard the mandate as a solemn responsibility to the people of Gombe, Kwami and Funakaye.

    The Governor charged him to provide effective, responsive and purposeful representation, while prioritising the interests, aspirations and development of his constituents.

    Governor Inuwa Yahaya also urged the incoming federal lawmaker to uphold the confidence reposed in him by the electorate and to be a worthy ambassador of Gombe State in the National Assembly

    He expressed confidence that Kallamu would bring his experience and commitment to bear in promoting the interests of his constituency and contributing meaningfully to national development.

    The member-elect is expected to take his seat in the House of Representatives next week after his formal swearing-in by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas at the National Assembly in Abuja.
