A two terms house of representatives member, Hon Yusuf Bala Ikara, is seeking for the nomination under the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the seat of Senate to represent Zone One, comprising of eight (8) local government areas of Kaduna State, has launched his campaign in Zaria.
Hon Yusuf Bala Ikara addressing the large crowd that gathered at the event that will contesting to demand their right , justice and freedom from the APC .
He added that either through mediation and allowing rural people to contest or by holding elections, this is all that the rural people want, nothing more.
“I know the job because I was a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ikara and Kubau local government areas in the House of Representatives for eight years, so I know the job without a doubt, I am truly assuring everyone that I am qualified to be a senator to represent the people of Zone One”.
“You know, we rural people have two heads, one is for making a fuss and the other is for leaving, so it is important to know this at all times”.
The aspirant also promised the large crowd that he would never betray them in any situation.
He then appealed to all APC members to go home and go around the streets and inform them to verify their identity. Get the APC membership card that is currently being issued, because only with it can one vote for the aspirant he or she want to contest as a party candidate who will be nominated to stand for the party to compete with other candidates from other parties.
Hon yusuf Bala ikara also assured the party members that the election will be held at every ward headquarters in the local government area through Alhaji after Alhaji and Hajiya after Hajiya after it is confirmed that the person has a party membership card.
“We are not criticizing the Kaduna State Government and they respect the Kaduna State Governor as the father of all in Kaduna State and the APC. But what everyone is asking for is justice for the rural people in fielding candidates.”
“The first zone is where the votes are pure because the entire zone of the first zone has always been the most voting zone whenever elections are held, this is not a doubt or a question.”
The local government areas that formed this zone include Zaria, Sabon Gari, Kubau, Ikara, Soba, Lere, Kudan and Makarfi.
All those who attended the meeting expressed their views by calling on the Kaduna State Government led by Senator Uba Sani to do justice for the rural people.
Those who attended the meeting included senior APC politicians, prominent businessmen from rural areas in the zone, and retired senior civil servants from major government positions.
They all attended the meeting in Zaria and called for justice for the rural community this time.
