    A Yobe governorship aspirant Kashim Musa Tumsah has donated relief materials to victims of Jilli airstrike.

    Following the unfortunate accidental airstrike that killed scores of people in Jilli village in Borko District of Gaidam local government area of Yobe State yesterday, Saturday, the Yobe state’s APC governorship aspirant in the 2027 general elections, Kashim Musa Tumsah MFR has deployed his interventions including cash and foodstuff to cushion the effect caused on the community.

    This was contained in a statement signed by Abubakar Ahmed, Spokesman KMT, Campaign Organisation issued to newsmen.

    As the first person to send his support to the victims, KMT donated many bags of rice, cartons of spaghetti, gallons of cooking oil and hundreds of thousands of naira cash to cover medical bills for the wounded.

    Presenting the donations of the foodstuff to the District Head of Borko, Mainama Zannah and the Councillor of Futchimiram Ward, Hon Lawan Zannah at the Gaidam Specialist Hospital, KMT’s representatives led by Yobe First Movement Zone A Coordinator, Lewami Alhaji Bakura said the governorship aspirant was deeply touched and shocked by the report of the incident.

    “This is why he said we should immediately bring these items including rice, cooking oil, cartons of spaghetti and cash to the victims on his behalf and to condole the families of the deceased persons praying to Allah to accommodate their souls in Jannatu Firdaus.

    “As for the cash, we have been directed to handover to each of the victims on their hospital beds and to wish them quick recovery “, Lewami said.

    Receiving the foodstuff, both Mainama Zannah and the Councillor of Futchimiram Ward, Hon Lawan Zannah, thanked KMT for his continued support to the people of the state in their happy and sad moments.

    They prayed to God to answer their calls for Kashim Musa Tumsah to emerge as the next governor of the state in the 2027 general elections for the growth and development of Yobe State.

    Other mentions of the team were Engr. Bako Mustapha, Gaidam LGA Coordinator of YFM and Hajiya Rabi, Haskey Forum Woman Leader among others.
