The Acting Corps Commander Education (Ag CC Edn), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has decorated newly promoted senior officers with their badges of rank following their elevation from Major to Lieutenant Colonel, as approved by the Nigerian Army Council.
The investiture ceremony held at Headquarters Nigerian Army Education Corps (HQ NAEC), An Barracks, Yaba, Lagos which featured the decoration of five senior officers.
A statement signed by Captain Abdullahi lawal Osabo Ag assistant director army public, headquarters Nigerian Army education corps Lagos said the newly promoted officers were Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Samson, Lieutenant Colonel James Oko Egwu, Lieutenant Colonel Paul Mathew Ambore, Lieutenant Colonel Ismail Ajibola Usman and Lieutenant Colonel Hamza Modibbo Ahmad.
In his remarks, Brigadier General YD Ahmed congratulated the officers on their well deserved promotions, describing their elevation as a testament to their professionalism, dedication and exemplary service to the Nigerian Army and the nation. He urged them to see their new rank as a call to greater responsibility, enhanced leadership and an unwavering commitment to excellence in the discharge of their duties.
He further emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity and continuous self development, particularly within the dynamic and evolving landscape of military education and operations. The Ag CC Edn also expressed appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu for approving the promotions and reaffirmed the Corps’ resolve to continue working diligently towards the attainment of the COAS Command Philosophy.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Samson expressed sincere appreciation to the leadership of the Nigerian Army for the confidence reposed in them. He affirmed their commitment to justifying this trust by upholding the highest standards of professionalism and contributing meaningfully to the advancement of the Corps and the Nigerian Army.
The ceremony was attended by senior military officers, colleagues, family members and well wishers who gathered to witness the decoration and celebrate themilestone.
