    The Akwa Ibom State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, on 3rd August, 2026, held its Monthly Strategic Conference.

    In a statement signed by the command public relations officer DSP Timfon John said the programme also featured the decoration of newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) and a Hepatitis screening exercise for officers and personnel, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to operational excellence, personnel development, and officers’ welfare.

    The Strategic Conference brought together senior officers of the Command to review the security situation across the State, assess ongoing operational activities, and strengthen strategies aimed at enhancing intelligence-led policing, crime prevention, public safety, and efficient service delivery. The Commissioner of Police charged officers to remain disciplined, proactive, and professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties, while sustaining synergy, intelligence gathering, and operational effectiveness to further enhance security across Akwa Ibom State.

    A major highlight of the programme was the decoration of senior officers recently promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). The newly decorated officers are:

    * ACP Nnudam Korsere Fredrick

    * ACP Augustine Udourioh Joseph

    The Commissioner of Police congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotion and reminded them that their elevation represents a greater call to leadership, accountability, and selfless service. He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through exemplary conduct, integrity, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the ideals and core values of the Nigeria Police Force.

    As part of activities promoting personnel welfare, the Command’s Medical Services Department conducted Hepatitis screening for officers and personnel in commemoration of World Hepatitis Day. The exercise was aimed at promoting early detection, raising awareness, encouraging preventive healthcare, and reinforcing the importance of regular medical check-ups among police personnel

    The Commissioner of Police reiterated that the health, welfare, and professional development of officers remain indispensable to effective policing. He assured the good people of Akwa Ibom State that the Command will continue to strengthen its operational capacity, uphold professionalism, and sustain proactive policing strategies to safeguard lives and property and maintain public peace and security across the state
