The Speaker Federal House of Representatives,RT HON Dr Tajudeen Abbas has hosted the Algerian Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Hocine Mezoued.
Discussion centres on practical areas of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of power and education.
The Speaker updated the Ambassador on the progress being made on the introduction of mini – grid power solutions,and effort being made to intensify the conclusion of the long anticipated scholarship opportunities for Nigerian students in the 2026/2027 academic session.
Dr Tajudeen Abbas maintained that the engagement between the two countries also reinforces the growing strength of the Nigeria–Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group and our shared commitment to deeper legislative collaboration across Africa.
He therefore affirmed that the two countries will continue to ensure that these diplomatic efforts translate into meaningful outcomes for our people.
