The Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Kaduna State Council, on behalf of all pensioners and the families of our deceased members across the state, writes to express our deepest gratitude to Your Excellency for the approval and release of *₦4.289 billion* for the settlement of outstanding gratuity, death benefits, and accrued rights.

This was contained in a statement from the Nigeria Union of Pensioners Kaduna State made available to newsmen.

It said this historic intervention has brought immeasurable relief, joy, and renewed hope to thousands of our members who have waited for years under severe economic hardship. For many widows, orphans, and aged retirees, your gesture has wiped away tears and restored dignity to lives once overshadowed by despair.

The Union said it’s profoundly moved by Your Excellency’s consistent display of compassion, statesmanship, and commitment to the welfare of senior citizens. By prioritizing the clearance of these inherited liabilities, you have demonstrated that your administration is one that honours labour, rewards service, and keeps faith with the people.

*While we celebrate this milestone, we wish to respectfully draw Your Excellency’s attention to the issue of the approved ₦32,000 pension increase for all pensioners.* The implementation of this increment across board will go a long way in cushioning the biting effects of inflation and current economic realities on our members, most of whom are aged and on constant medication.

We are also mindful that some outstanding gratuity and death benefit liabilities still remain, and a number of our members are still waiting. We have full confidence in Your Excellency’s goodwill and we look forward with great hope to subsequent releases in the coming months, and to the full implementation of the ₦32,000 pension increase, until every pensioner receives his or her due entitlement.
