Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has emerged as the overall winner of the prestigious Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) Faculty Capstone Project Competition, held in Victoria Island, Lagos, outperforming teams from some of Nigeria’s leading universities.
The BUK team secured the top prize after competing against representatives from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; the University of Ibadan; the University of Lagos; the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; and the University of Port Harcourt, demonstrating excellence, innovation and outstanding teamwork.
The victorious BUK delegation comprised Dr. Shukrah Bello, Dr. Adamu Abubakar Rasheed, Dr. Halima Abdulkadir Idris, Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Dauda, and Dr. Adenekan Lanre Qasim, whose exceptional performance earned the University national recognition.
The team expressed profound appreciation to the Management of Bayero University, Kano, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, FSI, for its unwavering support, encouragement and commitment to staff development, which contributed significantly to the team’s success.
