The Chairman Zaria local government Eng Jamil Mohammad jaga has inaugurated the leadership of the Mafita Progressive leadership network for Zaria local government and zone 1.
Represented by his Chief press secretary, Galadima Ishaq, the chairman congratulated the new leadership and wished them a successful tenure.
A statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Chairman, Galadima Ishaq said the event was held on Saturday, 4th July, 2026, at the Zaria Local Government Secretariat Hall, with Zaria serving as the host Local Government for the historic event.
In the Chairman’s message, he conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the newly inaugurated Zonal and Local Government Executive Committee members and reaffirmed his total support for the Mafita Progressive Leadership Network towards the successful realization of its objectives in Zaria Local Government and beyond.
He urged the new executives to discharge their responsibilities with loyalty, integrity, dedication, and commitment to grassroots mobilization, unity, and the continued progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as working collectively towards securing the Party’s electoral victory in the 2027 general elections.
The event brought together party leaders, political stakeholders, members of the Network, supporters, and other dignitaries from the eight Local Government Areas of Zone 1—Ikara, Kubau, Kudan, Lere, Makarfi, Sabon Gari, Soba, and Zaria—marking another significant milestone in strengthening grassroots political participation, organizational development, and the consolidation of the APC’s grassroots support across the zone.
