The Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr.Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), joined the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, who was ably represented by his Honourable Adviser on Domestic Affairs, Hon. Isa Lawal, at the Maicanter Micro Empowerment Scheme 1.0, held at the Zaria Local Government Secretariat.
The empowerment programme was generously sponsored by the Secretary of Zaria Local Government Council, Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaibu (Mai Canter), as part of his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and promoting economic self-reliance within the community.
The intervention reached hundreds of beneficiaries through the distribution of five motor vehicles, twenty-one motorcycles, four bicycles, five vulcanizing machines, two sewing machines, 500 packages of beans and vegetable oil for women engaged in small-scale businesses, ten Umrah sponsorship slots, ten admission sponsorships to polytechnic institutions, cash grants of ₦200,000 each to ten women, and several other empowerment interventions.

Speaking at the event, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga) commended Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaibu (Mai Canter) for his remarkable generosity and unwavering commitment to community development. He noted that such interventions complement government efforts aimed at reducing poverty, empowering citizens, and promoting inclusive growth across Zaria Local Government.
