In a significant development, Major General SO Adejimi has assumed command as the 44th Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport in Benin City, marking a new chapter in the school’s history.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Juliet Adamu assistant Director, Army Public Relations Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport, Benin said the handing-over ceremony held at the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport in Benin City, Edo State, on 30 July 2026, saw the Outgoing Commandant, Major General AO Adegbite, pass the baton to Major General SO Adejimi.
Maj General AO Adegbite expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General W Shaibu, for the opportunity to serve as Commandant NASST and highlighted his experiences, challenges, as well as successes during his tenure. He thanked officers and soldiers of the School for their support and cooperation, urging them to extend the same to the new Commandant.
Maj Gen SO Adejimi, in his maiden address, commended his predecessor’s conduct and achievements, pledging to sustain the legacy through robust administration, professional excellence and exemplary leadership. The climax of the ceremony featured the signing of handing-over notes, presentation of the School flag, decoration of the incoming Commandant, group photograph, tour of Training Facilities, Inspection of the Quarter Guard/Lowering and Hoisting of the School Flag by the outgoing and incoming Commandant, Nigeria Army School of Supply and Transport, Benin City.
